About Mrs. McKinney

Mrs. Genée-McKinney has been a part of the ALCDSB since 1985.  After teaching French as a Second Language for 16 years in a number of elementary schools she moved to St. Theresa School in 2002 where she mostly taught FSL from Grades 9 to 12.  She most recently has been seen in the Library Learning Commons assisting teachers and students in their literacy and research needs as she has earned her Library Part I and II qualifications.  As an advocate of reading, she continues to encourage her own three children to read for pleasure and belongs to two book clubs who meet on a regular basis.  She and Mrs. Brown have started a St. Theresa Book Club in 2014 connected to the Forest of Reading Program and they hope to start this again this year. They are also committed to transforming the St. Theresa Library into a Learning Commons for all to enjoy.
